CEO

David O’ Neill

David studied Food Business in UCC before beginning his career in Dansko Foods as production manager. There, he developed a firm understanding of the Dansko business model, product line and processes. He then transitioned to Trading Manager where he helped to further build Dansko’s international reputation and client base before becoming a company director in 2008. As CEO, David keeps up to date with latest market trends and also lends his expertise to key customers, advising them in a leading Commercial role.

Financial Director

Suzanne O’ Neill

Suzanne O’Neill is a Director of Dansko and is responsible for the Finance and HR Departments. Suzanne holds a BA in Economics and French and a MSc in Food Marketing from University College Cork. After completing her MSc, Suzanne worked in Aer Rianta’s (now known as the Dublin Airport Authority) Group Strategy Department before making her move back to the family business in the late nineties. While managing the Finance and HR functions, Suzanne works very closely with the Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain departments of the business.

As a Company Director, Suzanne Is involved in the Strategic direction of the company while ensuring good Corporate Governance.

Head of Operations

Chris O’ Doherty

With over 29 years’ experience in the Irish Dairy Industry, Chris joined Dansko Foods in 2018 as Head of Operations. He has in-depth experience across the Irish dairy industry, beginning his career in 1992 in Golden Vale’s Ingredients Dept.

He initially worked in production and the lab before moving into R&D for 3 years. Chris then moved into production subsidies/claims legislation and grant applications for 8 years. Following this, he worked as butter/separation manager and warehouse manager for 4 years. Golden Vale was purchased by the Kerry Group in 2001, and Chris moved into Kerry Foods in 2007 as Brunchetta Operations Manager and then on to the Process Cheese Dept. for 7 years, followed by a move into purchasing in 2015.

Customer Service Executive

Timmy Roche

Timmy joined the Dansko Foods customer service team in 2017 and has since become an integral part of the team. Overseeing the day-to-day logistics within a fast-moving organisation, he has quickly become Dansko Foods’ logistics expert. His reliability and expertise have allowed him to develop long-lasting relationships with our service partners.

Quality Manager

Liam McKenna

Liam joined Dansko Foods in 1994 and worked in various functions in operations and warehousing before becoming Quality Manager. He also leads our in-house product grading team.
Liam’s vast knowledge of operations, Quality Systems, expertise in the grading of raw material and knowledge of end-use applications gained over his years working in the food industry makes him an invaluable part of our team.

Financial Accountant

Jason McHale

Jason joined in Dansko in 2014. After graduating from CIT, Jason spent a number of years in accounting practices before joining Dansko. He collaborates with many different departments overseeing a range of areas, including cashflow, costings, purchasing, sales, month end returns, Revenue and payroll.

Office Manager

Josie Burke

Josie is a dedicated individual with a passion for doing things well.  She has consistently demonstrated an ability to excel in all roles and has a broad range of experiences from Accounts Administrator, Fraud & Security Analyst, Qualified Trainer & Coach, Customer Service Representative & Insurance Executive.   With a strong sense of business acumen and ability to keep the customer at the heart of everything, she provides a balance between the needs of the customers and the business.

Financial Controller

John Biggs

John joined Dansko Foods in August 2022 as financial controller, holds a BCom from UCC and is CIMA qualified.

John has 15 years industry experience and during this time has developed a broad range of accounting skills.  He has good analytical, numerical, and planning skills from working on projects and in cross departmental teams.  He has a collaborative approach and is adaptable to changes in business processes.

Assistant Operations Manager

Joe Ganley

With over 30 years’ experience in the food & pharmaceutical Industries, Joe joined Dansko Foods in July 2023 Assistant Operations. He has in-depth experience across manufacturing, beginning his career in Nestle Crumb as an operator and then Warehouse / Stores Manager.

He initially worked in production for 2 years and then stores for 7 years. Joe moved to Purchasing / Material Control in the pharmaceutical Industry through Jacobs Engineering working on many projects for Eli Lilly , Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson , Following this, Joe Went back into food manufacturing with Silver pail Dairy as assistant Operations manager in 2010 focusing on process’s , efficiencies and lean .In 2019 Joe assumed the role of Operations Manager.

Warehouse Supervisor

Wander Reis

Wander joined Dansko Foods in 2023 as a Warehouse Supervisor and is responsible for the running of the warehouse. Wander holds a BBA from São Paulo State Technological Colleges as well as a certificate in Operations, Quality and Lean Management from the Technological University of Shannon. He is currently studying for a Certificate in Supply Chain Management at the University of Limerick. Wander previously worked in Sales and Construction and in recent years has been working in Logistics and Distribution in the food industry before joining Dansko. Wander has an incredible work ethic and an innovative initiative. His attention to detail and problem solving abilities make him a crucial part of the team.

Technical Manager

Sylvia Tobin

Sylvia started in Dansko Foods in April 2024. Sylvia has ten years of Medical Device Compliance experience followed by over a decade in the Food Industry at Management level in both Operations and Technical. Sylvia brings a varied skillset to Dansko Foods which includes Food Safety, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and Project Management.

Supply Chain Manager

Terry Shealy

Terry joined Dansko in October 2024 as Supply Chain Manager. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Carlow Institute of Technology.

Terry comes to us with over 15 year experience in Shipping and Logistics and is a skilled Logistics professional with extensive experience in optimizing Supply Chain processes across various sectors.
